VNU
VNU (Verenigde Nederlandse Uitgeversbedrijven), which translates into English as "United Dutch Publishing Companies") is a Dutch media conglomerate. Formed in 1964 by the merger of two Dutch publishing companies, VNU dropped the full name in 1999 and became simply known as "VNU."
VNU has corporate headquarters in Haarlem, The Netherlands and New York City, USA (though not in New York's Harlem). VNU is active in over 100 countries, and employs some 38,000 people worldwide.
