Abel Tasman (ship)

Abel Tasman was a passenger/vehicle ferry that operated from 1985 to 1993 between the ports of Melbourne, Victoria and Devonport, Tasmania. It replaced the ferry Empress of Australia. Operated by TT-Line, Abel Tasman made daily crossings of Bass Strait until it was replaced by the ship Spirit of Tasmania.
