Airport code

An airport code is an short code used to identify a specific airport. There are two systems used:

IATA airport code, a three-letter code which is more commonly known to the public
ICAO airport code, a four-letter code which is more commonly used internationally

In the U.S., FAA airport codes mesh with those from IATA, and often have numbers for small municipal or private airports.
