Algiers (film)

Algiers is a 1938 motion picture starring Charles Boyer, Sigrid Gurie, Hedy Lamarr, Joseph Calleia, Alan Hale, and Gene Lockhart.

The movie was directed by John Cromwell. It was adapted for the screen by John Howard Lawson, based on the Henri La Barthe novel Pépé le Moko, with additional dialogue by James M. Cain.

Algiers was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actor (Charles Boyer) and Best Supporting Actor (Gene Lockhart).
