Alvah Bessie

Alvah Bessie (June 4, 1904 - July 21, 1985) was an American screenwriter who was imprisoned and blacklisted by the movie studio bosses for being one of the group of MPAA members known as the Hollywood Ten.

Bessie was born in New York City, New York.

He fought as a volunteer in the Abraham Lincoln Brigade during the Spanish Civil War.

Alvah Bessie died in Terra Linda, California.
