Animal marking

Animals can have a variety of different markings. It is the categroy of mammalia, the furry creatures, in which this is most common. Markings may be there for camoflage, such as the spots on a lion cub or the stripes on a tiger - both these help to break up the felines' outlines in long grass and the undergrowth - or they may have been bred to be there by man, such as the Points on a Siamese cat.
