The Annenberg School for Communication is an institution both for the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, PA and the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, CA founded for the promotion of communication and journalism scholarship which was established in 1959 at Penn and in 1971 at USC through a grant from philanthropist and the former United States Ambassador to Britain Walter H. Annenberg.

The director of the Annenberg School at Penn is Kathleen Hall Jamieson. Dr. Jamieson was often quoted during the 2004 US Presidential election due to her involvement with FactCheck.org, a nonprofit organization devoted to monitoring the accuracy of campaign ads.
