Bachal Isu
Bachal Isu is translated as staff of Jesus. Saint Malachy (1094-1148, Archbishop of Armagh 1132-1138) was said to have bought the staff of Jesus from King Niall who had usurped the possessions of the archbishopry.
There are connections between the Bachal Isu and the legend of the Rod of rule, a staff possessed by Agamemnon, and Nehushtan, the staff with the golden serpents of Moses.
