Blackness Castle

Blackness Castle was a minor garrison on the Firth of Forth, but John Selzer considered it important enough to add the massive spur protecting the gate and shortened the Stern tower as a base for 3 heavy guns. Barracks were introduced in the 18th century. Now owned by Historic Scotland.
