Bor, Russia

Bor (Бор in Russian) is a town in the Nizhny Novgorod Oblast in Russia. It is located on the left bank of the Volga River, across from Nizhny Novgorod, at 56°21′ N 44°5′ E. The two cities are connected by a bridge built in 1965. Population: 51,000 (1969). Bor was founded in the 14th century and became officially recognized as a town in 1938.
