Bourkou-Ennedi-Tibesti is one of the 14 prefectures of Chad. Located in the north of the country, Bourkou-Ennedi-Tibesti covers an area of 600,350 square kilometers and has a population of 73,185 (as of 1993). Its capital is Faya.

Geography: Bourkou-Ennedi-Tibesti contains diverse topography, ranging from the volcanic Tibesti Mountains to the Bodele Depression, a vast Holocene lakebed that is one of the Earth's strongest dust storm producing regions.
