Buchner flask

A Büchner flask (Sometimes called a vacuum flask, but this can be confused with thermoses) is a thick walled erlenmeyer flask with a glass tube and hose barb leading about an inch out of the neck of it. This is usually attached with a vacuum hose to an aspirator and a Büchner funnel placed in the mouth of the flask. In use it will draw liquids from the funnel. This is frequently used to dry out a sample placed in the funnel.
