Carlo Cafiero

Carlo Cafiero (1846-1892) Important Italian anarchist & champion of Mikhail Bakunin during the second half of the 1800's. Originally a member of the Internazionale, due to his friendship with Karl Marx and Frederick Engels, he was eventually imprisoned for his beleifs. He split with Marxism, in part due to Italy's sweeping following of Bakunin' anarchist ideology.
