Carlo Ponti

Carlo Ponti (born December 11, 1912) is an Italian film producer.

Born in Magenta, Italy, Ponti studied law at the University of Milan. Since 1941, he has produced 140 movies, among them films by Federico Fellini (La Strada, 1954), Vittorio de Sica (Boccaccio '70, 1962), David Lean (Doctor Zhivago, 1965), and Michelangelo Antonioni (Blow-Up, 1966).

Ponti is probably better known outside of Italy as Sophia Loren's husband.
