Civil unions in Buenos Aires, Rio Negro

Buenos Aires City and Rio Negro Province (both 2003) offer Civil Unions. Open to same-sex and opposite sex couples who have been together for at least two years and live in the city of Buenos Aires or Rio Negro Province. These couples are granted the same rights as provided to married couples. The partnerships offer health and insurance benefits and hospital visitation rights, but do not allow same-sex couples to receive inheritance, the possibility to marry or adopt children.
