Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia

Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia (CDH) is a congenital abnormality that is often life-threatening. It involves three major defects.

• A failure of the diaphragm to completely close during development
• Herniation of the abdominal contents into the chest
• Pulmonary Hypoplasia
