Craig Newmark
Craig Newmark (born circa 1952 in Morristown, New Jersey), is best known for being the founder of the San Francisco based internet website known as Craigslist. Craigslist is a open public forum dedicated for community use, and has since spread to every major city in the U.S. and abroad. It is free to the general public, and the site is well-organized enough that a first time user can navigate the site as well as a "craigslist veteran."
Newmark attended Morristown High School, in Morristown, New Jersey, and upon graduation attended college at Case Western Reserve University.
He resides in San Francisco's Cole Valley.
