Custom (motorcycle)
A custom motorcycle is another name for a cruiser.
The term "cruiser" might be preferable because custom implies that aftermarket modifications were made, when in fact the term is being applied to an unmodified production motorcycle, such as the Yamaha Virago or Honda Valkyrie. While adherents often call them customs, their manufacturers classify them as cruisers. Use of the term "custom" can also create confusion with chopper bikes, which are (usually) heavily customized, one-of-a-kind machines.
