Danish hip hop

Hip hop is a cultural movement originally from the United States. Its best known manifestation is hip hop music, which is composed of DJing and rapping. In Denmark, hip hop has been growing steadily more popular over the last ten years. The Funky Fly record label has been an important part of this evolution. In contrast to many other countries, Danish language hip hop has been generally as successful or more so than English language acts. Some Danish English language rappers have become more well-known abroad than at home, such as Static and NATiLL, both popular German acts, and Funk Flush and Delireeus, who are well-known elsewhere in Scandinavia. Other prominent performers include Niam, Outlandish and N.O.B.L.E..
