David Feldman (Academic)

Professor David Feldman is the Rouse Ball Professor of English Law at the University of Cambridge and Fellow of Downing College, Cambridge, as well as the author and editor of several books on British law. He is presently the Acting Director of the Centre of Public Law. Since 2002 he has been a Judge on the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

He is a Honorary Bencher at Lincoln's Inn and an Academic Associate at the Chambers of 39 Essex Street.

Feldman completed his BCL and MA at Exeter College, Oxford before becoming a Lecturer in Law there from 1976-89. He was then a Visiting Fellow at the Australian National University in 1989 before taking up the Barber Professorship of Jurisprudence at the University of Birmingham (1992-2000). He then remained a professor of law at Birmingham until 2004 while acting as a legal Adviser to the Parliamentary Joint Select Committee on Human Rights.
