Detroit Country Day School (DCDS) is a private, secular school located in Beverly Hills, Michigan, northwest of Detroit.

DCDS was founded in Detroit in 1914, inspired by the Country Day School movement. The school moved to its present location in 1957. In addition to the main campus in Beverly Hills, two other campuses are located in nearby Bloomfield Hills.

The school's Motto is 'Mens Sana in Corprore Sano' or 'A Sound Mind in a Sound Body'. In addition to being considered one of the finest college preparatory schools in the Midwest, Detroit Country Day has long a tradition of athletic excellence.

Notable Alumni

Notable alumni include Microsoft chairman and CEO Steve Ballmer, actor Courtney B. Vance, basketball players Chris Webber and Shane Battier, and soccer player Kate Markgraf. Actor Robin Williams also attend the school.
