Discharge
The term discharge can have several meanings in different contexts:
- A military discharge is issued when a member of the armed forces is released from service.
- Similarly, a patient is discharged from a hospital when his or her medical treatment is done.
- In electricity, an electrostatic discharge or a corona discharge are both flows of current.
- In hydrology, the average discharge of a river means the amount of water flowing through the river.
