The territory of Hong Kong is divided in 18 administrative districts (區), each with a district council.

Population density

The population density per district varies from 470 (Islands) to 55,000 (Kwun Tong) per sq. km. Before the combination of Mong Kok and Yau Tsim districts, Mong Kok had the highest density (over 100,000).
