Edessa (Greek: Έδεσσα is a town in of 25,000 inhabitants in northern Greece, the capital of the Pella prefecture and is also the provincial capital of the province of the same name. It is also known as Vodena (Slavic: Voda, "water") and nicknamed the "town of the waters", due to its rich aquatic resources and its tourist attraction of the waterfalls, located in the actual town center. Edessa dates back to ancient times.
