Erode
Erode is a city in Tamil Nadu, southeastern India. Population: approx. 360,000. It is the capital of the Erode District. Erode is located on the banks of Cauvery River. It was the site of much fighting during the British wars with the Marathas. The city is located in a cotton-growing region, and its industries include cotton ginning and the manufacture of transport equipment.
