Esophageal web

Esophageal webs are thin membranes located in the middle or upper esophagus. They are mainly observed in the Plummer-Vinson syndrome, whis is associated to iron deficiency anemia. Its main symptoms are pain and difficulty in swallowing (dysphagia).
