The Flying Lizards
The Flying Lizards were an experimental music group which recorded several record albums. It attracted avant-garde and free improvising musicians like Deborah Evans, Deborah Strickland, David Toop, Steve Beresford and David Cunningham.
The group released an album titled The Flying Lizards in 1979; their singles include postmodern cover versions of songs such as Eddie Cochran's "Summertime Blues" 1978, "The Laughing Policeman" 1980 (which was not featured on an album, but was released as The Suspicions),"Move On Up" 1981, "Sex Machine" 1984 and "Dizzy Miss Lizzie" 1984. Their cover of Barry Gooding Jr.'s "Money" 1979 remains popular.
