Frankenstein is a 1910 film written and directed by J. Searle Dawley. It was the first filmic adaptation of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein, as well as the first horror film. It stars Augustus Phillips as Dr. Frankenstein, Charles Ogle as The Monster, and Mary Fuller as the doctor's fiancé. It was filmed near the Whitstable railway station in Kent, England.
