Gesualdo Bufalino (November 15, 1920 - June 14 1996), is an Italian writer. He became famous quite late in life, in 1981 at the age of 61, when his friend and celebrated writer Leonardo Sciascia discovered his talents.

He was a native of the town of Comiso, where the the Biblioteca di Bufalino (Gesualdo Bufalino Library) is named after him.
