Glenrowan, Victoria

Glenrowan is a small town located in the Benalla Local Government Area of Victoria, Australia. It is 184 kilometers north-east of Melbourne and 14 kilometres from Wangaratta and located near the Warby Ranges and Mt. Glenrowan. Glenrowan was named after farmers James and George Rowan who ran farms in the area between 1846 and 1858. It is famous for the bushranger Ned Kelly being captured there in 1880 after a shootout with police.
