Gran Buenos Aires
Gran Buenos Aires or Greater Buenos Aires is the metropolitan area next to the city of Buenos Aires and comprises the following 24 partidos (administrative subdivisions) of the Province of Buenos Aires.
Once cities by themselves, permanent growth merged them in a single city usually referred as Buenos Aires. Gran Buenos Aires had 8,684,437 inhabitans in 2001. When the city of Buenos Aires itself is included, the total population of the area is around 11.5 million.
