Zwilling J.A. Henckels, or sometimes known just as "Henckels" are renowned for their quality, especially the Zwilling brand. J.A. Henckels International is a division of Zwilling J.A. Henckels that produces less costly knives, often made in China or Taiwan. The knives made by Zwilling J.A. Henckels are usually made in Europe, either Spain or Germany, and are chosen by chefs worldwide. Henckels has a very long history and as a result, many of their knives were top rated by Consumer Reports, however many are quite expensive. In addition to knives, Henckels also makes poultry and craft scissors, kitchen gadgets, and cookware. Henckels' main competitor is Wüsthof, also based out of Solingen.
The "Twin Select", "Twin Gourmet", "Four Star", "Five Star", and "Professional S" are some of the lineups of knives that Zwilling J.A. Henckels constructs. Henckels also crafts pocket and sporting knives, such as the "Twinsnap" or the "Stockman".
