Hobbie (Star Wars)

Derek 'Hobbie' Klivian is fictional character in the Star Wars universe.

He is a member of the famed Rogue Squadron. His only speaking line, "Two fighters against a Star Destroyer?", was in the beginning of The Empire Strikes Back. He has gone on to star in many comics and novels in the Star Wars saga.

Originally though, Hobbie was scripted to die during the Battle of Hoth when he flew his snowspeeder into the cockpit of Blizzard 1, killing General Veers. This scene was deleted from the final version of The Empire Strikes Back, however and neither Hobbie nor Veers died.
