Hypolipidaemic agent

The hypolipidaemic agents are a diverse group of pharmaceuticals that are used in treatment of hyperlipidemias.

The most important examples of hypolipidaemic drugs are :

• statins
• fibrates
• nicotinic acid
• bile acid sequestrants (resins)
