Interlocutory

An order, sentence, decree, or judgment, given in an intermediate stage between the commencement and termination of a cause, is called interlocutory (1913 Webster). Interlocutory orders are generally not appealable, but in extraordinary cases they may be heard and the case remanded for further proceedings.
