Kannadigas
Kannadiga is the term for a native speaker of Kannada. Karnataka State of India is the homeland of most Kannadigas. Other Kannadigas live in Goa, Tamil Nadu and other adjacent states, as well as abroad.
In recent years, Kannadigas and Tamils have often attacked one another over language disputes and tensions over the waters of the Kaveri river.
