Khasi

The Khasi are a tribe in Meghalaya, India who call themselves Hynniewtrepsf (which means "belonging to seven celestial families" in their local language). They comprise almost fifty percent of the population of Meghalaya. Most Khasis are Presbyterian or Roman Catholic.
