Killington Peak
Killington Peak, with an elevation of 4,241 feet, is the second highest summit in the Green Mountains and is the point with the second highest elevation in the U.S. state of Vermont. It is located east of Rutland in south-central Vermont. A major ski resort is nearby. Killington is a noted and popular stop on the Long Trail. A gondola transports non-hikers to the summit, and a restaurant at the peak is a great stop for a bite to eat.
