Kuban River

The Kuban (Куба́нь) is a river in Russia, in the Northern Caucasus region. It flows through Karachay-Cherkessia, Stavropol Krai, Krasnodar Krai and Adygeya.

The Kuban flows 870 km north and west from its source near Mount Elbrus in the Caucasus Mountains, eventually reaching the Sea of Azov. It is navigable along most of its length. Cities along the Kuban are Karachayevsk, Cherkessk, Nevinnomyssk, Armavir, Krasnodar and Temryuk.
