Lees

Lees can mean the detritous of fermentation, consisting of dead yeast, fruit debris and schmutz. See Lees (fermentation).


Lees is the name of a village, traditionally in Lancashire, but now in the Metropolitan Borough of Oldham, Greater Manchester. It borders Springhead, which is part of Saddleworth.

A Saddleworth & Lees area committee meets regularly to discuss the progress of the villages.
