Linda Sánchez

Linda T. Sánchez (born January 28 1969), an American politician, has been a Democratic member of the United States House of Representatives since 2003, representing the 39th District of California (map). She was born in Orange, California, earned her undergraduate degree at the University of California, Berkeley and her law degree at the University of California, Los Angeles, and was a lawyer before entering the House. She is the sister of Representative Loretta Sanchez. In Congress, she serves on the Judiciary and Government Reform Committees, and co-founded the Congressional Labor and Working Families Caucus.

Sanchez was re-elected in 2004 to her second term, winning 61-39% against Republican challenger Tim Escobar.
