- "The Hawk," a costumed student who serves as mascot of the Saint Joseph's Hawks; the mascot flaps its "wings" without interruption (even for halftime) throughout SJU basketball games
- "The Stanford Tree," a dancing tree of indeterminate species, official mascot of The Stanford Band, unofficial mascot of Stanford University
- "Uga", (pronounced ug-guh) a live bulldog, the official mascot of the Georgia Bulldogs [2]. The dogs are named in succession, and the current mascot is Uga VI [3]. A mausoleum containing the remains of all previous Ugas is located inside Sanford Stadium near the main gate [4]. A person in the costume of a bulldog in football uniform also appears on the sidelines at Georgia football games.
