Magnum Research is a company that manufactures very powerful, luxury- and lifestyle-oriented handguns (both pistols and revolvers) under the Magnum brand.
The power (and therefore recoil) of Magnum guns generally make them unsuited for combat use. They are mostly used as status toys, admired for their design.
The most well known firearm made by Magnum Research is the Desert Eagle pistol. It is bulky and heavy for a pistol. The Desert Eagle has featured and been idolised in many films.
