Galaxy M102 (also known as Messier Object 102, Messier 102, or M102) is a controversial Messier object that is either:
- identical to the Pinwheel Galaxy (also known as Messier Object 101 or NGC 5457) which is a spiral galaxy in the Ursa Major constellation
- an accidental reobservation
- the Spindle Galaxy, a lenticular and spiral galaxy in the Draco constellation also known as NGC 5866
- NGC 5879, a galaxy near the above-mentioned Spindle Galaxy, however it's not as bright as the latter
- NGC 5928, a 14th apparent magnitude galaxy, that is questionably observable by the compilers of the catalogue.
