The Muran language family is a language family of Brazil. The only surviving Muran language is Pirahã, with about 150 speakers.
Linguistically, the Muran family is typified by agglutinativity, by paucity of phonemes (Pirahã has just 11 compared to English's 40-odd), and by grammatical tone.
The Muran language is the eponymous member of this language family; however, most Muran languages have died due to the usage of Portuguese in Brazil, mainly because they were spoken by so few people anyway: the Pirahã language is now spoken by just 150 people in eight villages.
