National Botanic Garden of Belgium
National Botanic Garden of Belgium is located in Bouchout domain in the village of Meise, near Brussels. It is one of the largest botanic gardens of the world, and has a large collection of plants. The Garden maintains a number of laboratories, herbaria and greenhouses.
Mission statement of the National Botanic garden of Belgium includes increasing and spreading “the knowledge of plants” and contributing to “the conservation of biodiversity.” The National Botanic Garden of Belgium is currently a lead Botanic Garden, with a large collection of plants, and it also has historic buildings, libraries, and herbaria.
