Neron is a fictional character in the DC Comics' universe. Neron was a demon prince of great power, though he has been reduced to a lower station due to his actions.
History
Neron was a Demon Prince responsible for enhancing dozens of supervillains (and a few superheroes) in exchange for their immortal souls, during the Underworld Unleashed story arc. His ultimate goal was the soul of Captain Marvel, though he was thwarted in that goal. Later, he attempted to claim the Spectre-force for himself, but the Spectre instead chose Hal Jordan as its new human host. Neron was punished for using Hell's own power for his pleasure, and was last seen demoted to the position of Rhyming Demon, similar to Etrigan the Demon.
