Newton Abbot is a town in Devon, England on the River Teign. It grew in the Victorian era as home to the Great Western Railway locomotive and engine repair depot. The town is also home to a racecourse. Part of Newton Abbot's heritage is the historic Cheese and Onion Fayre which, combined with the annual Real Ale festival are a few of the remnants of a once vibrant market town.
