Overhead ladder

An overhead ladder is a piece of recreational equipment often found on playgrounds. It is a ladder which has been placed in such a fashion that the rungs face downwards so that they can be gripped from below by a person who then hangs from them. The individual then uses the free hand to grip the next rung, repeatedly alternating until reaching the end of the rungs at which point they disengage. They are sometimes referred to as monkey bars, along with various other similar pieces of equipment.
