Pichi Richi Railway

The Pichi Richi Railway is a tourist railway using parts of the former Central Australia Railway. It is headquartered in Quorn and runs through the Pichi Richi Pass to Port Augusta.

In about 2002 the line was extended through to Port Augusta with a dive tunnel under the standard gauge line that replace the original CAR line. The PRR narrow gauge and the standard gauge lines run parallel for some distance.
